Probably the best hostel i've been all around the Romania ! We've been received as nowhere else.

Friendly people, nice ambiance, ... Everything is there to spend a good moment in Sibiu :)

J'ai trouvé le Chess Hostel très agréable et accueillant,je voudrais remercier surtout la charmante Madi qui m'a proposé une partie de billard indien très sympa.C'était pratique car proche du centre.J'aimerais bien revenir à Sibiu la prochaine fois et essayer d'être moins mauvais au billard indien:-)La revedere!

It's a Kind of Magic

It was a moment's choice to stay there, but it was the best I made in a while...

Cozy, nothing fancy, though with a magic touch. This place has a spirit that caresses your soul. 

And the small garden suits the fairytale and long talks through the summer nights very well. 

My personal favourite is the kitchen. It IS like home:)

nicest hostel in world

Hi Madi and George!

Staying in your hostel made my 2 days in Sibiu feeling like home! It was quiet, relaxed and i enjoyed talking and drinking a cup of tea on your doorsill infront of this big cherrytree while the august morning sun was shining.

Now i'm back in germany but i decided to come back to romania and if i come to Sibui i will stay in the Chesshostel agian, for sure!

Favorite hostel in Romania :)

Chess Hostel was the perfect place for us to relax while visiting Sibiu.  The young owners were incredibly friendly and helpful, giving us good tips on local tourism and even accompanying us to town to help with translation!  Sometimes they would even cook delicious food for guests, and we always felt at home.  Thanks a lot, and we miss you guys!

Bien plus qu une quberge ! 

ils sont tellement cool ici, j ai fait le detour depuis Cluj pour y etre. Maison delicieuse et gens agreables, le top
