Transilvania International Film Festival (TIFF) is presented by Romanian Film Promotion and it is the first international feature film festival in Romania. It's main host is the town of Cluj Napoca, Transilvania. Founded in 2002, TIFF has grown rapidly to be the most important film-related event in Romania and one of the most spectacular annual events in the region.

In 2007, the festival was upgraded to a new level, with then-European Capital of Culture Sibiu as a second host.

In this 8th edition, Menahem Golan, one of the most active and prolific creators of modern cinema, whose name appeared in 250 films over the years, is a special guest at the 8th edition of Transilvania International Film Festival (TIFF). Moreover, his presence at Cluj will concur with his 80th anniversary. Born on May 31, 1929, in Israel, Menahem has distinguished himself in early life as a paratrooper in the Israelian air forces, changing his name from Globus to Golan because of patriotic reasons.

Besides this great presence, an impressive list of awarded documentaries, innovative musicals and spectacular film directing debuts are part of the offer prepared by the eight edition of the festival. Here's a short list of the TOP Films, although the organizers didn't yet managed to give a secure information on what are the movies that are going to be screened in Sibiu. You can read more about them on IMDB just by clicking on the title.
